Contracts and Tenders

The Transparency Code states that local authorities are required to publish information on all invitations to tender, as well as any contracts for goods and/or services, where the total value exceeds £5,000.

For each tender opportunity, the following information must be made available:

  • Reference number
  • Title
  • A summary of the goods and/or services being sought
  • The start date, end date, and any review date

Billing Parish Council will publish details of any tender invitations and contracts as and when required.

Great Billing Playground Redevelopment

Billing Parish Council invited tenders for the redesign, supply, and installation of the Great Billing Playground. The specification required that all submitted designs include the following key elements:

  • A climbing frame with slide
  • One bird’s nest swing
  • Two cradle swings
  • Two flat swings
  • A scramble net log climber
  • A trapeze swing
  • Benches
  • Wet pour safety surfacing, with the option to use different colours to indicate age appropriate areas

Deadline for submission of tenders was 12:00 noon, 5 January 2026
The contract was awarded to Wickstead Leisure at a cost of £48,240.00 plus vat
