Access to Information – Billing Parish Council
Billing Parish Council is committed to openness and transparency in the way we work. In line with national requirements, the Council operates under the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Model Publication Scheme, which sets out what information parish councils should make routinely available to the public.
Most of our core documents can be viewed on our website at no cost. However, in some cases—particularly where information is only held in printed form—there may be a small charge to cover copying or administrative costs. Please note that, in accordance with legislation, certain categories of information may be withheld where exemptions apply.
Before submitting a request for information, we encourage residents to search our Documents section, where you may already find what you need.
Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests
You have the right to request recorded information held by the Parish Council under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. More details about how the Act works can be found on the ICO website.
To make an FOI request, please contact the Parish Clerk. You can use our online request form or email us directly. We may get in touch if we believe the information, you are looking for is already publicly available, which can help speed up your query.
ICO Registration
Billing Parish Council is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection purposes. Details of our registration can be viewed using the link below.
