How to Volunteer

Joining in is very simple and very rewarding too!

Great Billing Pocket Park

Volunteering Sessions are normally held every Wednesday morning from around 9.15 am and last for two to three hours, although even if you can only spend an hour or so your efforts will be much appreciated.

Depending on the time of the year activities will include maintaining and repairing paths, cutting grass, picking litter, keeping young trees healthy by clearing invasive weeds from around their trunks, laying hedges, coppicing and pruning trees and shrubs.

If you’d like to help maintain this Award Winning Park please meet at the Bernard Weston Pavilion at 9am where the Green Space Manager will let you know what needs to be done.

Little Billing Pocket Park

Please join us to help to maintain our Community Pocket Park. Jobs normally include litter picking, grass mowing, path weeding, pruning and planting. It’s a gat chance to get out in the frwesh air and meet your neighbours!

We meet by the green container opposite the local shop in Valley Road. Please wear stout footwear or Wellingtons and bring gardening gloves.

We meet on Saturday mornings for just two hours – from 10am until 12 noon. All age groups are very welcome. For further information please call Michael Clasper on  (01604) 786240.
